ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's and women's swimming and diving teams will travel to Alfred, NY to take on the Alfred State Pioneers in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Saturday.

* The Lions competed at the Grove City Fall Classic last weekend with four other teams (Grove City, Clarion, Allegheny, Oberlin)
* On the men's side, Behrend placed fourth with 539 points. Sophomore Chase Bietz (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield) and senior Quinn Fischer (Fairview, PA/Cathedral Prep) were double winners on the day for the Lions
* Fischer was named the AMCC Men's Swimmer of the Week for his pair of wins. He individually won the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:58.60 and was a part of the winning 400 freestyle relay
* For the women, the Lions collected 88 points to finish in fifth overall
* Marcella Puglia was the top finisher in the 500 freestyle and 1650 freestyle last weekend. She was third (5:41.93) in the 500 and fifth in the 1650 (19:35.67). Puglia was also 15th in the 50 freestyle in 26.97
