ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend sophomore men's swimmer Chase Bietz (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield Area) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Swimmer of the Week.

Bietz was instrumental in the Lions 187-109 win over Westminster on Saturday, marking the first time Behrend defeated the Titans in program history. He won three individual events and one relay on the day. Bietz touched first in the 100 breaststroke (58.38), 200 breaststroke (2:13.32) and 200 IM (2:02.72), while swimming on the winning 200 medley relay.

The Behrend Lions return to action on Friday night at Chatham. Meet begins at 6 p.m.
