Penn State Behrend Men's Tennis Handles AMCC Opponent Pitt-Greensburg

The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team handled the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats on Tuesday, March 23 by a final score of 9-0.  The men's tennis team had everything going their way and went on to blank the Bobcats.

The blue and white performed at high level the whole match and never looked back.  Elliot Blackstone (Wexford/Pine Richland) was at it again with yet another #1 singles victory by a 6-0, 6-0 score.  Freshman Chris Galvin (Erie/McDowell) has recently been playing like an upperclassman as he once again won his singles match by scores of 6-0 and 6-0.  Other singles winners included Peter Bissert (Pittsburgh/Seton LaSalle), Matthew Kiser (Grove City/Grove City), Jon Hamm (Pittsburgh/Seton LaSalle) and Travis Parke (Erie/Seneca).

Kelly Manning (Sharpsville/Kennedy Catholic) teamed up with John Michalko (Washington/McGuffey) to win easily at doubles by a score of 8-1.  Brad Nagel (West Alexander/McGuffey) teamed with Jacob Fling (Erie/Villa Maria) while Jason Grosch (Warren/Warren) paired with Juan Santiago (Erie/Central) to each win by a score of 8-0.

With the win, the blue and white are now 8-5 overall and 4-1 in the AMCC.  Up next for the Behrend Lions will be another AMCC match against the Franciscan Barons on Wednesday, March 24.  Behrend defeated Franciscan once already this year by an 8-1 score.
