GREENSBURG, Pa. – Emily Detsch scored a career-high 19 points, while Kim Pol scored 15 of her 17 in the decisive second half to lead Penn State Behrend over Pitt-Greensburg 77-57 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Saturday.

Amy Oldach was the third player in double scoring figures with 18 points, but it was her eight assists, eight steals and six rebounds that helped the Lions (15-5, 11-3 AMCC) post a 20-point win over the Bobcats (6-16, 6-9 AMCC). Oldach is now just 11 points away from 1,000 for her career.

Casey Stanton led Pitt-Greensburg with a double-double performance, scoring 17 points and grabbing a game-high 10 rebounds.

It was a scoring frenzy to start the first half with the Bobcats taking a 17-8 lead in the first five minutes.  Pitt-Greensburg went 8-for-9 from the field to start and closed the run with a triple from Taylor Tresatti.

The Lions slowly closed the gap and got within three points right away, but it took a layup from Ali Bilak and two free throws by Maura Znavor to push the lead back to 21-14 at the 9:58 mark.

Behrend gave Pitt-Greensburg a taste of its own medicine with a 5-for-7 run to end the first half and knot the game at 35-all.

The Lions came out of the locker room with a 12-0 run for a 47-35 behind five points from Aly Eagle and Pol.

The Bobcats did not let up and got within two points at 51-49 with 8:25 left to play. From here, Behrend only let Pitt-Greensburg score eight more points and scored 14 points over a four-minute span for the final margin.

The Lions return to action on Monday at La Roche for a make-up game. The AMCC doubleheader with the men starts at 6 p.m.
