Wade Named AMCC Diver of the Year; Seven Named All-AMCC

ERIE, Pa. – Meghan Wade (Berea, OH/Berea) repeated as Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Diver of the Year, while six other Penn State Behrend women swimmers earned All-AMCC honors, announced on Wednesday.

Wade won both the one-meter and three-meter events at the conference championships. She posted an NCAA qualifying score of 401.85 on the one-meter board and also tallied a score of 400.40 on the three meter.

As a team, the Lions earned nine first-team accolades and seven second-team honors.

MaryEllen Spooner (Lockhaven, PA/West Springfield) was named to the first team in six events and to the second team in another. She was on four winning relays, while taking first in the 100 and 200 backstroke to earn All-Conference honors. Spooner broke the 50 and 100 back program records in the process. She was also a second-team choice in the 50 free.

Meagan Daily (Pittsburgh, PA/Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) and Alex Isaacson (Williamsport, PA/Williamsport) were five-time All-AMCC selections. Daily was a first-team choice for three relay wins and another in the 200 butterfly. Her second-team honors came in the 100 butterfly. Isaacson was a part of two winning relays to be named to the first team. Her second-place finishes in the 400IM, 200 breaststroke and 200 IM earned her second-team accolades.

Georgie Hatch (Middletown, MD/Middletown) and Lauren Rosato (Pittsburgh, PA/Chartiers Valley) were instrumental in the three first-place relays, to earn first-team honors. Hatch and Rosato were also second team in the 200 and 100 freestyle, respectively.

Rachel Skaluba (Sparta, NJ/Sparta) swam a leg on the winning 200 medley relay to collect first-team honors.
