Women's Track and Field Competes at Spire

GENEVA, Oh. – Paige Allen (Butler, PA/Butler) was the lone ECAC qualifier for the Penn State Behrend women's track and field team at Spire Saturday.

Allen took home an ECAC qualifying run in the 60m dash with a time of 7.96in a second place effort, a mark that is only .17 seconds behind the school record that she already holds. She also finished second in the 200m with a time of 26.50.

Allen was also the lead leg of the team's 4x400 relay that took fourth with a time of 4:14.58. Running with her was Ashlyn Carlsson (Butler, PA/Knoch), Rachel Pell (Elizabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward) and Courtney Sargent (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy).

Sargent finished sixth in the 800m with a time of 2:27.48, while Katelyn Hancock (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) took 10th with a time of 2:38.67. Carlsson finished seventh in the 400m with a time of 1:04.25 and Pell took fifth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 10.15.

Rachel Ramsey (North Versailles, PA/East Allegheny) took ninth in the 3000m with a final time of 11:30.07. Abby Gilmore (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) finished behind her in 12th at 12:19.

Kati Piger (Williamsport, PA/Loyalsock) took home sixth in the long jump with a distance of 4.73m, while Haley Yenchik (Cecil, PA/Canon McMillan) and Casey Kulka (Warren, PA/Warren) finished ninth and 10 with distances of 4.59m and 4.51m respectively.

Yenchik took second in the pole vault with a height of 3.10m, while Michaela Krause (Union City, PA/Union City Area) finished third with a height of 2.80m.

Krasue also took seventh in the high jump with a height of 1.40m. Alaina Kruszewski (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) and Faith Leri (Alexandria, PA/Juniata Valley) followed behind in eighth and ninth respectively with heights of 1.35m each

The Lions return to Spire Friday and Saturday with another 10 a.m. start.
