Women's Track & Field Competes at ECACs

WESTFIELD, Ma. – The Penn State Behrend women's track and field team finished in 20th place (18 points) out of 60 scoring teams in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships Thursday.

Paige Allen (Butler, PA/Butler) medaled twice in the championships, taking second in the 100m and first in the 200m. She ran an 11.97 in the 100m, missing the gold by 0.01 seconds. Allen the won the 200m with a new school record of 24.66. She scored all 18 points for the Lions.

The 4x100 relay team of Haley Yenchik (Cecil, PA/Canon McMillan), Casey Kulka (Warren, PA/Warren Area), Kati Piger (Williamsport, PA/Loyalsock) and Ashlyn Carlsson (Butler, PA/Knoch) came in 15th and posted a time of 50.63.

Yenchik also qualified for the pole vault. She placed 13th, raising 3.31m (10' 10.25").

Allen qualified for the NCAA Championships which will take place Thursday, May 26.
