Lions Run at Golden Eagle Invitational

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Penn State Behrend women's track and field team competed at the Brockport Golden Eagle Invitational Saturday.

Paige Allen (Butler, PA/Butler) finished first in two events, posting season-best times in both. She won the 60m with a time of 7.84 and then won the 200m, posting a 25.89.

Rachel Pell broke a school record in the 60m hurdles, finishing eighth and running a time of 9.74.

Ashlyn Carlsson (Butler, PA/Knock), Courtney Sargent (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy), Rachel Ramsey (North Versailles, PA/East Allegheny) and Katelyn Hancock (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) won the DMR for the second week in a row. They improved their time by over five seconds and posted a time of 13:07.29.

Katie Manno (Erie, PA/McDowell) took a 10th place finish in the 1000m with a time of 3:31.89, and Ramsey finished ninth in the 3000m, posting a time of 11:27.75.

Carlsson, Allen, Pell and Sargent finished off the track events with a second place and school record finish in the 4x400m relay. They combined to run a 4:07.29 and qualify for ECACs.

The Lions return to the track March 4 when the qualifying members of the team compete at ECAC Championships in Staten Island, NY.
