ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team heads to Washington, Pa. and Washington & Jefferson for the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Regional Tournament, beginning on Saturday, March 19.

* Shannon Young (Roseville, CA/Roseville) was named CWPA Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday following a nine-point performance over two games
* Young potted five goals in a win over Caltech
* Chloe Dodgen (Riverside, CA/Hillcrest) was tabbed a Defensive Honorable Mention last week helping the Lions close out their California trip with a 1-1 week, making 17 saves while adding five assists
* Marley Persch (Hudsoncille, MI/Hudsonville) was named Rookie of the Week Honorable Mention for her offensive output last week
* Persch led Behrend in scoring against Occidental, netting three and adding four more to the ledger in the win against the Beavers
* Behrend is 1-8 heading into the weekend

* Behrend's opponents combine for an overall record of 0-10
* Utica will open their season on Saturday with their first match of the tournament against Connecticut
* Washington & Jefferson has taken losses to Gannon (20-8), Wittenberg (10-8) and VMI (17-5)
* Grove City has taken all three loses to the aforementioned
* Connecticut opened their season on March 4 with a two-day tournament resulting in an 0-4 effort
