FT PIERCE, Fl. -- In game one of a doubleheader, Ryan Finnegan (Fombelll, PA/Riverside) had a two strike, two out walk-off base hit to lift the Penn State Behrend baseball team past Richard Stockton 1-0 on Sunday.
Justin Wood (Alleganhy, PA/Allegany Limestone) pitched six shutout innings and Connor Semple (Washington PA/McGuffey) threw a scoreless seventh to lead the Lions to their first victory of the season.
In the nightcap, Dante DeSantis (DuBois/DuBois Central Catholic) went four innings allowing just one earned run, strinking out five, and Alex Margraf (Erie, PA/McDowell) went 4-for-5.
Despite their efforts, Behrend fell 6-5 to Richard Stockton in nine innings.
The Lions will take on Arcadie on Monday, March 10 at 3 p.m.
