ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend head baseball coach and compliance director Paul Benim has been appointed to the NCAA Baseball Rules Committee.
Benim’s term on the rules committee began on September 1, 2013 and will continue through September 2017. The committee partakes in conference calls and has in-person meetings in Indianapolis throughout the year to discuss legislation and rules pertaining to NCAA baseball on all levels.
“This is really exciting to join baseball people across the country and discuss this great game,” said Benim. “It is an honor to assist in the continued development of collegiate baseball.”
Benim, who enters his 22nd season with the Lions, is also on the ECAC Southern Region Selection Committee and has previously served on NCAA Regional Committee.
