Rohrer Named ECAC and AMCC Pitcher of the Week

ERIE, Pa. -- Penn State Baseball pitcher Justin Rohrer (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin) has been named Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) and Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Pitcher of the Week, annouced on Tuesday.

In the Lions doubleheader sweep of Pitt-Greensburg on April 26, Rohrer earned the save in game one. The freshman stayed on the hill and went the distance as the starting pitcher in game two, striking out five. He also earned the save in Behrend's 6-5 victory over Houghton on April 21.

In 29.1 innings of work this season, Rohrer has compiled an AMCC-leading 0.92 ERA. The freshman is also tied for first in the conference with three saves.

The Lions will be the number two seed in next week's AMCC Tournament. Behrend will travel to take on Otterbein on Thursday, May 1.
