ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend baseball pitcher Dante DeSantis (DuBois, PA/DuBois Central Catholic) was named to the 2014 Division III Capital One Academic All-American Second Team, announced on Wednesday.

Majoring in finance, DeSantis compiled a 3.87 grade point average and was the only Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) player selected to the squad after earning First-Team All-District honors.

The senior went 9-3 with a 2.75 earned run average with 57 strikeouts in 2014 with the Lions. He is third on the Behrend all-time list in k's (191), fifth in wins (20), and fifth in innings pitched (200.1).
