Men's Volleyball Falls Twice

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Evan Fullerton (Ambridge, PA/Ambridge) tallied 23 assists and 14 kills for the Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team, but the Lions fell to both Missouri Valley and King's 3-0 on the final day of the Charlie Wrubezki Tournament on Sunday.

The Lions lost to Missouri Valley 25-14, 25-20 and 25-15. Grant Kocher (McMurray, PA/Peters Township) recorded 13 kills in the first match and Colin Ingram (Holliard, OH/Hilliard Darby) nailed down nine kills in the loss.

Behrend fought back in its second match with two extra-point games. King's was able to escape the Lions 25-17, 30-28, 28-26. Fullerton posted 12 assists and eight kills, while Derek Polishen (Plum, PA/Plum) led with 10 digs.

Behrend will play in its first collegiate home match on Wednesday against Thiel. Match time is 7 p.m.
