Lions Blank Hilbert 5-0

HAMBURG, NY - The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team netted four second-half goals en route to a 5-0 win over Hilbert in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) game Tuesday evening.

Five differnent Lions (10-1-3) scored in the win, improving their record to 4-0-1 in conference play. Freshman Nick Kisiel (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst) recorded his first career goal. Behrend outshot the Hawks (2-9-1, 0-5-1 AMCC) by a 27-7 margin.

The Lions lone goal in the first half came in the 35th minute. Bobby Svec (Irwin, PA/Norwin) buried a corner kick off the foot of Sean Gallagher (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park). 

The second half was competely controlled by Behrend. Two back-to-back goals in the 61st and 62nd minute quickly put the Lions up 3-0. Evan Augustine (South Park, PA/South Park) scored the second goal of the game off of a corner kick just before Dakota Lange (Apollo,PA/Kiski Area) corralled a rebound to make it 3-0.

At the 76:18 mark, Ryan Colagiovanni (Monongahela, PA/Ringgold) found Kisiel whose shot to the lower left corner made the score 4-0. Colagiovanni then scored a goal of his own in the 89th minute. 

Head coach Dan Perritano is now only three wins away from 300 as the men's program head coach.

Behrend will be home for their final non-conference game of the season against Alfred State this Thursday at 7 p.m.
