Augustine, Ralph Earn NSCAA All-American Honors

ERIE, Pa - Senior defender Evan Augustine (South Park, PA/South Park) and freshman goalkeeper Chris Ralph (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) of the Penn State Behrend men's soccer team were named National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III All-Americans.

After both being named Great Lakes First-Team All-Region, Augustine and Ralph can now add All-American status to their list of accomplishments this season.

They both were named to the Second Team after putting together exceptional seasons. Augustine and Ralph were essential parts of the Lions last line of defense. Augustine's persistent defense rarely gave opponents a good opportunity to score, allowing teams to only register 13 goals all season. As Behrend headed into post-season action, they hadn't suffered a loss in 18 games which was the longest streak in the nation.

Throughout that stretch, Ralph tallied 14 of his victories and 10 shutouts while Behrend outscored their opponents 52-7.

Augustine, was recently named the AMCC and ECAC South Defensive Player of the Year, Great Lakes First-Team All-Region, and now is an All-American. Ralph was AMCC First-Team, ECAC First-Team, and a Great Lakes First-Team All-Region selection to go along with his All-American Award.
