Augustine Named NSCAA Scholar All-American

ERIE, Pa - Senior men's soccer defender Evan Augustine (South Park, PA/South Park) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches of America (NSCAA) NCAA Division III Scholar All-American team.

Augustine is earning his first All-American nod on the first team after being named to the Scholar All-East Region First Team.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) throughout his or her career; start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team; be nominated by an institution that is a current NSCAA College Services member and be a junior or above in academic standing at the current institution. The committee then reviews both the academic and athletic accomplishments of the nominees in determining the honorees.

Augustine, a management information systems major, has held a 3.65 GPA throughout his collegiate career. In addition to Scholar All-Region and All-American honors, he was named to AMCC First Team and earned Defensive Player of the Year. He also was a First-Team ECAC All-Star as well as the ECAC South Defensive Player of the Year. Augustine was previously named to the NSCAA First-Team Great Lakes All-Region Team and was selected as an All-American, making the second team.
