Fatica And Harwood Are New Record Holders; Women's Cornell Invitational Results

ITHACA, NY –Jenna Fatica and Victoria Harwood were both big finishers Saturday as the Penn State Behrend women's track and field program competed in the Robert Kane Invitational at Cornell.

Fatica kicked her day off by running the 800m event in 2:18.74. The senior mid-distance runner's time was good enough for 3rd place among Division I, II, and III athletes and a new school record. Fatica later joined up with Catie Bertges, Mandy Wehrle and Liz Keller in the women's 4x800 relay finishing 2nd and clocking in at 9:59.42.

Keller returned to the track placing 5th in the one-mile run, crossing the line at 5:21.56 which was split second behind the school record (5:21.35). In the field events, Victoria Harwood entered the record books by vaulting 9' 10".

Penn State Behrend women's track and field program will take its qualifiers to the ECAC Indoor championship on March 4.
