4x400 Team Breaks Record At ECAC Championships

BETHLEHEM, Pa. –A few Lions represented the Penn State Behrend track and field team at the 2011 ECAC Outdoor Championships held at Moravian, Thursday and Friday.

The 4x400 relay team comprised of Catie Bertges, Katie Spade, Jenna Fatica and Amanda Wehrle beat out their previous school-best time of 4:06.47 to cross the line at 4:06.23. The record-setting performance earned the ladies 15th place in a field of 20.

To finish her career as a Lion, Fatica ran the 800m race in 2:18.85. Fatica will leave the program holding three records while, Tanisha Wheatley, another senior competing in her last event, ran the 3000m steeple chase in 12:56.09.
