Nola Breaks 3000m School Record; Women's Indoor T&F Competes at Wittenberg

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Olivia Nola (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) broke the school record in the 3000m event to lead the Penn State Behrend women's indoor track & field team at the Wittenberg Collegiate Meet on Saturday.

Key Moments:

* Nola placed third and set a new school record with a time of 10:20.29
* In the 60m hurdles, Haley Felton (Midway, PA/Fort Cherry) had a personal-best time of 10.39 for 10th place overall
* Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) took fourth in the 400m dash with a personal-best time of 1:01.18, before placing fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 27.57
* Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin) finished ninth in the mile with a time of 5:07.02
* The team of Nola, Carr, Laffan and Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) had a fourth-place finish in the 4x400m relay (4:20.96)
* Kappeler went from the relay to the pole vault and led the Lions with a height 11'0.75" for seventh overall
* In the triple jump, Shannon Burns (Jefferson, OH/Jefferson) tallied a distance of 30'3.5" for eighth place
* Burns was also 13th in the high jump (4'9")
