Behrend Track & Field Honored for Academics

ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men and women's track and field teams were named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team for the NCAA Division III Indoor/outdoor season.

A program must have at least a 3.10 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. The women garnered a 3.322 GPA, while the men's team combined for a 3.12 GPA for the academic year to earn the honor.

The men's team had three named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. Dan Dabrowski (Harborcreek, PA/Harborcreek), Anand Bhambhwani (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) and Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) achieved NCAA Division III All-Academic Athlete status.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30, have finished the indoor season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who participated at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, are eligible.
