ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's indoor track and field team is headed to New York, NY for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships at the NYC Armory this weekend.

* The Lions will be participating in five events this weekend after earning qualifying marks earlier this season
* Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin), Olivia Nola (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) and Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) will compete in two events apiece
* Carr and Nola will battle each other in the 3000m race
* Last meet, Nola broke the program record in the 3000m with a time of 10:20.29
* Carr will also run the mile, while Nola is part of the distance medley relay
* Other participants in the DMR are Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf), Emily Ferrans (Bradfordwoods, PA/North Allegheny), and Bethany Litwiler (Reynolds, PA/Reynolds)
* Kappeler will lead the Lions in the pole vault and run a leg on the 4x200m relay along with Laffan, Gracie Jones (Union City, PA/Union City) and Angelina Compeggie (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan)
