ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's and women's soccer programs will host their first annual 8 vs. 8 Youth Soccer Tournament on Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3.
Thirty boys and girls teams from Erie and Warren, grades fifth through eight, will take part in the premier youth soccer event in the Erie area.
Participants will compete at Behrend's $4 million state-of-the-art soccer facility.
On Saturday May 3, the Behrend Soccer Camp will be offering free youth player clinics at 11:25 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. for all tournament participants.
In 2013, both the Lions men's and women's soccer teams won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
