ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team will open the season with a pair of Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) opponents including Pitt-Bradford and Medaille on Saturday in the Junker Center Pool.

* The Lions had a chance to compete in four meets last year
* Behrend finished the season with a first-place win at the two-day Allegheny Invitational
* The Lions are mentored by 18-year head coach Jen Wallace
* Behrend's roster features 22 swimmers, including one graduate student, five seniors, three juniors, six sophomores and seven freshmen
* James Connolly (Allentown, PA/Parkland), Jake Schmidt (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep), Matt Karenbauer (Butler, PA/Knoch) and Jacob Eshelman (Franklin, PA/Franklin) are returning AMCC Champions from 2019-20 season
* Current men's team members with school records include: James Connolly (1000 Free, 1650 Free, 800 Free Relay)
