ERIE, Pa. - Rachael Ragen and Emily Frederick, members of the Penn State Behrend women’s swimming and diving team, were named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week.

Ragen earned Swimmer of the Week for recording three victories and setting two records on Saturday against Edinboro. The freshman broke the pool record and reset her team record with a time of 2:14.06 in the 200 butterfly. She also took first place in the 100 free event (56.04) and was a member of the winning 400 free relay.

Frederick was named Diver of the Week after scoring a personal-best score of 263.60 on her first attempt at 11 dives from the 3-meter board. She tallied a score of 118.60 on her first five dives and added 144.70 to her score on the next six dives for her final total.

The Lions return to action on February 17 at the AMCC Championships held at Grove City.
