Baseball to Host ECAC Championships

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team will host the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championship on May 19-20 on the Behrend Diamond.

The Lions (29-16) are hosting the event for the third straight year and are searching for their third consecutive ECAC Tournament victory.

Behrend will host Grove City (25-16) in a best-of-three series starting on Thursday at 1 p.m. for the ECAC crown.

Behrend has five ECAC South Championships in program history and are competing in the event for the 10th time.

The teams will play a nine-inning doubleheader on Thursday starting at 1 p.m. and will return Friday, if need be, for a deciding game three.
