ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend baseball freshman Scott Sada (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown) was named to the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Second Team, announced on Tuesday.
Accolades continue to roll in for the first-year second baseman. Sada recently earned honors on the All-AMCC First Team, American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Region Second Team and D3baseball All-Region Third Team.
Sada led the team in batting average (.376), at bats (170), hits (64), doubles (25) and slugging percentage (.588). He set a new program record for doubles in a season with 25. Sada also posted a .974 fielding percentage in 156 total chances and was a perfect 11-for-11 stealing bases. He added two wins and a team-high four saves on the mound this season, posting a 1.50 ERA.
