Men's Soccer Finishes Season Among National Leaders

ERIE, Pa. – Claiming the programs seventh overall conference title in 2014, the Penn State Behrend men's soccer team had yet another successful season. The Lions finished the year ranked nationally in several team categories. Individually, Jimmy Belack (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) had one of the best statistical seasons in team history and also finished nationally ranked in multiple statistics.

Offensively Behrend was one of the best teams in the nation finishing seventh in both scoring offense (3.18 goals per game) and total goals (70). The Lions ranked eighth with 8.50 points per game and a 0.64 shutout percentage. The squad also finished ninth in total points (187) and 16th in win-loss-tie ratio (.818).

Belack, who set the program's career assists mark this year, ranked fourth in the nation in assists with 14. He finished tied for seventh with seven game-winning goals, while ranking eighth in assists per game (.64) and total points (48). Belack's 2.18 points per game ranked 14th and his 17 total goals tallied an 18th-place finish.

The Lions will look to win their third straight conference championship in 2015, and claim their fourth title in the last five years.
