Belack Named NSCAA Scholar All-American

Penn State Behrend men’s soccer team standout Jimmy Belack has been selected to the 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III Scholar All-America Team. Belack is the program’s first-ever Scholar All-American, earning a spot on the second team. He is one of 33 Division II and III student-athletes chosen to the men’s team.

Men's Soccer Finishes Season Among National Leaders

Claiming the programs seventh overall conference title in 2014, the Penn State Behrend men’s soccer team had yet another successful season. The Lions finished the year ranked nationally in several team categories. Individually, Jimmy Belack had one of the best statistical seasons in team history and also finished nationally ranked in multiple statistics.

The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team fell to Ohio Wesleyan 3-2 in overtime Friday night in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. The Lions (18-4) fought back from two separate one-goal deficits but came up just short in overtime.

The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team advanced to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) championship game with a 4-0 defeat of Mt. Aloysius (8-11-1) Wednesday afternoon. Christian Harrington notched two goals in the victory to propel the Lions (17-3) to their 12th straight win. Behrend has advanced to the AMCC Championship 16 times out of 18 seasons the conference has been in existence and have played in the title game every year since 2006.

Lions End Regular Season With Victory

An offensive outburst propelled the Penn State Behrend men's soccer team to a victory over Alfred State (6-11-1) Tuesday night. Anthony Crivelli (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) and Nick Stewart (Pittsburgh, PA/Keystone Oaks) each scored two goals to lead Behrend. The win marks the best regular-season record to date for the Lions (16-3) who achieved 16 wins and end the regular-season on an 11 game winning streak.

The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team clinched the AMCC regular-season title Saturday with a 2-0 victory over Mt. Aloysius. The Lions (15-3, 9-0 AMCC) went undefeated in conference play this season and will have the opportunity to host all of their AMCC Tournament games. Behrend is red-hot and have now won a remarkable ten straight games dating back to September 24th.

Lions Win Fourth Straight Game

STEUBENVILLE, Oh. - The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team won their fourth straight game Saturday afternoon defeating Franciscan 4-0. The Lions (9-3, 3-0 AMCC) defense shut down the Franciscan (3-7-1, 1-2 AMCC) offense in the shutout victory. Jarrod Wassell did not allow a goal and recorded two saves in the net for Behrend.
