Erie, Pa.- The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team took the court against Grove City and lost 3-2 Tuesday night.
The Wolverines (4-7) gave the women a tough matchup two weeks ago in the Behrend Invitational, so it was only right that the Lions (5-5) were expected to win again at Grove City.
The match started heavily one-sided as Grove City won back-to-back sets 25-20, 25-21 but senior captain Danielle Woods and her game high 37 digs wouldn't let the Lions expire that easy. Kelly Treser's three blocks and seven kills helped the women post identical scores to win the third and forth sets 25-21, which forced the deciding game. The Wolverines would go on to win the final set 15-8.
The Lions will battle conference foe Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday September 29 at 7 p.m.
