Volleyball Falls To Penn State Altoona in AMCC Semifinals

BRADFORD, Pa. – Penn State Altoona used a three-set match to eliminate the Penn State Behrend volleyball team from the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Semifinals on Friday night.

Second-seeded Altoona snapped Behrend’s 11-game winning streak and advanced to the championship game on Saturday against Pitt-Bradford thanks to scores of 25-20, 25-18, and 25-22.

Danielle Woods tallied a game-high 20 digs and Stefanie Kelley added 18 digs. Carly Higham was the leader in assists with 15 and helped Mary Sperry record eight kills.

Kelly Treser contributed five kills and five blocks.

The Lions (19-11) will await a chance for a postseason bid to the ECAC Tournament.
