HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Penn State Behrend volleyball team had their first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) win come easy to them, defeating Hilbert 3-0 on Tuesday night.
The Lions (6-9, 1-2 AMCC) only gave up 28 points in three games for the victory, winning 25-9, 25-6 and 25-13. Three players were involved in the offensive mix including a team-best seven kills by Mary Sperry. Stef Kelley and Kely Treser each had six kills. Kelley also added nine digs and Treser posted five aces.
Danielle Woods earned 11 digs and knocked in three aces, while Chelsea Magnusen distributed 15 assists.
Behrend returns to action on Friday against Emory & Henry at the Gallaudet Tournament. Match time is 4 p.m.
