Volleyball Sweeps Mt. Aloysius

CRESSON, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend volleyball team will head into the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conferenc (AMCC) playoffs on a 10-match winning streak after defeating Mt. Aloysius 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions (18-10, 7-2 AMCC) have won seven straight conference matches, to post a 7-2 mark in the AMCC. Behrend only needed three games to record the win over the Mounties, winning 25-18, 25-19, and 25-7.

Danielle Woods tallied 13 digs and two aces. Chelsea Magnusen added 17 assists, while Carly Higham contributed 15 helpers and two aces.

Jessica Woods led in kills with nine and Kelly Treser knocked in seven kills.

The Lions return to action on Tuesday against the Mt. Aloysius in the AMCC quarterfinals. Match time is 7 p.m.
