Women's Basketball Completes Season Sweep of Hilbert

HAMBURG, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's basketball team had four players in double figures to post a 78-43 victory over Hilbert in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Wednesday night.

The Lions (14-3, 10-2 AMCC) shot 56 percent from the floor in the first half to take a 44-17 lead into the second stanza.  Brittany Wilwohl (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) had a team-best 12 points, while Holly Bourquin (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) and Julia Myers (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) added 11 points each.

Brianna Bayly (Imperial, PA/West Allegheny) was the fourth player in double figures with 10 points. It marks the second straight game all four players scored double digits for Behrend and the second time the Lions defeated the Hawks this season.

Behrend returns to action on Saturday at La Roche. Game time is at 3 p.m.
